TOUR START: This tour starts and ends near Welch at the trail access parking lot, 26674 144th Ave Way, Welch, MN 55089. The lot has ample free parking and easy access to the trail.
THE TOUR: Note that this route can take from 2-1/2 to 5 hours depending on the length of the route you select and time spent in Cannon Falls or Red Wing.
The ride is clearly marked and generally smooth and level. There are rest areas along the way with a large rest stop at Welch. Watch for deer, turkey and other creatures along the trail.
An an option after the ride would be to drive to Cannon Falls for afternoon drinks and a meal as you desire. With a brewery and wineries, ice cream and pizza, as well as many restaurants to choose from, there is something for everyone.
