GUESTS/RENTERS: Must ride a Pedego bike. This ride is exclusive to Pedego bikes.
- Bike Rental $60 (includes rental, bike transportation and tour) - rented Pedego will be brought to the Cedar Lake parking lot.
TOUR START: This tour will start and end at the northwest parking lot, 2101 W Cedar Lk Parkway, on Cedar Lake. Additional parking is also available at the nearby lot, 2501 W Cedar Lk Parkway and in the nearby resident streets. Lot parking rates are $1/hour.
THE TOUR
Our route through Theodore Wirth Park and around Cedar Lake and Lake of the Isles is a gentle and completely paved road, mostly on designated bike paths. Note that we do have to cross roads to get to, around and back from Theo Wirth.
Initially we will explore a part of Theodore Wirth Regional Park. We will explore only the western edge of the largest park in the Minneapolis park system. Discover more about this area here.
We will spend up to 30 minutes at the Eloise Butler Wildflower Park. Expect to find Woodland flowers including bloodroot, wild ginger, trillium, bluebells, trout lilies. Find out more about the Park here.
We will return to Cedar Lake after 4.5 miles. If you wish, you can complete your tour at this time.
For those who wish to explore further, we will continue to Lake of the Isles to enjoy the newest lake in the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes. Find the history for this lake here. Note that this part of the tour will encounter traffic and some street travel.. This will add 5.5 miles for a total of 10 miltes for the entire tour.
If time and energy permit, we can also ride aroung Bde Maka Ska and Lake Harriet!
